About Corrales, NM

Homes for Sale, Condos, Land and Real Estate

According to its website, “The Village of Corrales is a small, treasured oasis located within a large, fast-growing metropolitan area. To cross the borders into Corrales is to step into another time and place where the stresses of twenty-first century life give way to the grace and pace of another era.” It would be hard to sum up the area any better than that.

Hi, I’m Tracy Venturi, and I’m one of the Realtors, Team Leaders, and Owners of Venturi Realty Group. I’ve lived in New Mexico since 1980, and I love it here. Maybe it’s my Minnesota hobby farm roots, but I really enjoy this community and everything it has to offer. We’re proud to call Corrales home, and we’d love for you to join us here. Its proximity to the river and farms, its rural nature, the trees and trails in the Bosque, and the phenomenal views from the hillside homes are just some of the things that make it so special to us, and to many other people who live here. Come take a look today.

Facts about Corrales New Mexico

The Village’s roots are based in agriculture, and people from all over the Albuquerque area will flock to Corrales for a fall visit to Gus Wagner’s Farm for their pumpkins and Green Chili. Or they may be looking to take a peaceful Sunday drive down the narrow, two-lane road through the Village. Corrales strives to preserve its rural nature, right down to protecting the coyotes, providing crosswalk signs for horse riders, and offering the occasional hitching post at local businesses.

What other things make Corrales special? Vineyards, wineries, and apple orchards, the amazing views of the Sandia Mountains, and visiting the “Green Built” straw bale built Post Office where you’ll be greeted by name. But that’s only some of the great options around the area.

Events and Activities in Corrales

If you’re looking for something to do in the town, don’t forget to also check out the Growers’ Market on Wednesday afternoons and Sundays, fun shops and galleries, excellent restaurants with outdoor patios, the Fall Harvest Festival, The December Holiday Parade, and the Village Library and park.

Jobs and Business Opportunities in the Area

While Corrales is similar to much of the Valley along the Rio Grande River, it’s a bit more of a community, as well. The population is small and the Village has its own central business district. It’s an old time Village surrounded by a large and growing Albuquerque and Rio Rancho Metro.

Two of the elementary schools have five-star ratings, one has a four-star rating, and one has a three-star rating on the Great Schools site. Additionally, the Corrales area offers a small selection of private schools, giving parents choices for their children’s education.
